Candidate Bios
Adam Morgan
Adam started climbing in 2002, and since then has contributed the New Brunswick outdoor and indoor climbing worlds in various capacities. Adam has been involved with FBC since day 1 as founder, cooperative president, executive director in the first year of operations, and as strategic director since then. He is committed to making FBC an inclusive, vibrant, and integral part the Fredericton.
Adam is offering for another 3 year term on the board of directors.
Danielle Bouchard
Hello there! My name is Danielle Bouchard. While I am not an avid climber, my family has been visiting FBC since it opened in 2019. Our experience at FBC has been particularly transformative for my son, Jaxon, who has enthusiastically embraced bouldering. Despite being part of the pre-competition group and attending the after-school program, he now climbs whenever he gets the chance, earning him the nickname "monkey" among his peers.
Professionally, I am a Professor at UNB in the Faculty of Kinesiology, specializing in exercise for older adults. My background includes managing a research lab and leading various national and international research studies in English and French. These experiences have honed my promotion, recruitment, and management skills, which can be directly applied to supporting FBC's growth and development.
I am eager to contribute to FBC's success by joining its board. Bouldering attracts a diverse community of both kids and adults, making it a crucial option for promoting an active lifestyle within our community. My experience and skills from academia and research can directly apply to supporting FBC's growth and development. Additionally, I have access to a network of potential employees who could benefit the organization.
