Hi everyone,
I'm very pleased to be re-offering for another three-year term on the FBC board. I'm one of our co-op's founding members and have been involved since 2017, when Adam and Marc invited me to help create the blueprint for this organization. I'm FBC's biggest fan, a day-one investor, and deeply believe in everything we stand for.
My role as VP of Business Development includes fundraising for construction, budgeting, financial tracking, investor updates, and assisting management in navigating a sound fiscal path during both good times and challenging ones. I also act as a coach to our executive team when needed and ensure that FBC's original vision remains intact as our leadership evolves.
As we enter a new phase of reduced debt and greater financial flexibility, the VPBD role must adapt. If you choose to re-elect me, I will shift my attention from financial restraint and control towards exploring new revenue opportunities that enable strategic reinvestment. This shift is crucial for building a more flexible business and ensuring a satisfied membership. Specifically, I aim to enhance our corporate sponsorship program, provide stronger incentives for day-pass climbers to transition to long-term memberships, help create a hold supply-and-replacement policy and address our annual fall sales slump.
Thank you for your continued support throughout FBC's growth. It has been a privilege to serve you, and I look forward to continuing this work in the coming years!

Hyla Nicholson
Hi! My name is Hyla and I love FBC! I am not an avid climber but both of my sons are, especially my oldest Finley. This community is truly like no other. It is inclusive, supportive and friendly. I would love to be a member of the board and contribute to FBC’s growth as a space where people of all ages and levels can enjoy this amazing sport. I have worked in government for the past number of years where I have been heavily involved in training development, delivery, and business expertise, I believe I can leverage my experience and skills to contribute the board. I am self motivated, out-going, and accustomed to leveraging these skills to ensure effective communication across diverse groups. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to FBC’s growth.

Danielle Bouchard
Hello there! My name is Danielle Bouchard. While I am not an avid climber, my family has been visiting FBC since it opened in 2019. Our experience at FBC has been particularly transformative for my son, Jaxon, who has enthusiastically embraced bouldering. Despite being part of the pre-competition group and attending the after-school program, he now climbs whenever he gets the chance, earning him the nickname "monkey" among his peers.
Professionally, I am a Professor at UNB in the Faculty of Kinesiology, specializing in exercise for older adults. My background includes managing a research lab and leading various national and international research studies to ensure intake of regular physical activity among seniors. These experiences have honed my promotion, recruitment, and management skills, which can be directly applied to supporting FBC's growth and development.
Last year, I replaced a board member for a year. I am eager to continue to FBC's success by offering a full 3-year term to the board. In the past year, I tried to make connections between local post-secondary institutions to access employees and interns and help connect Rock and Ice. I intend to continue playing this role while exploring other ways to leverage my network.

Andrien Rackov
Hi everyone,
It has been a pleasure for me to serve on the FBC board, first as VP Research/Strategy, and currently as President over the last three years. I have keenly learned about FBC’s challenges and successes and have gained a deep appreciation for the expertise that our diverse board members bring to the table. With great momentum on a number of exciting initiatives, I would be thrilled to continue to serve as an FBC board member.
My experience as a research director at the Research & Productivity Council (RPC), a not-for-profit Crown Corporation in Fredericton, New Brunswick, has equipped me with experience in strategic planning, building strong community connections, and exploring growth opportunities. Community-driven organizations like FBC are shaped by our membership and balancing the needs of our members with a sustainable business model will ensure that FBC is a place we continue to enjoy together well into the future.
I am listening, I am learning, and ready to keep supporting FBC in its strategic goals, values, and aspirations. As a climbing enthusiast and a regular at the bouldering gym, I look forward to spending time with you all at the wall.
