As announced by the Government of New Brunswick on December 3rd, 2021, our province is implementing the Winter Action Plan as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We have been managing this virus for 22 months and we here at FBC will continue to do our part to protect our community while continuing to safely offer bouldering as a form of physical activity.
The Winter Action Plan as a whole is outlined on the GNB website, however the following is how FBC and similar facilities will operate in each Level.
Level 1
Open with full vaccination
Masks required while in the facility
Handwashing/sanitizing upon entry, during and after your climb
Staff will continue to clean the facility regularly
Level 2: (Effective Dec. 27th/21 at 11:59pm.)
Open with full vaccination
Capacity Restricted to 50% - climbers are required to pre-book their climb using our website or the RGPro Connect App (found in your phone's app store).
Social distancing of 2 meters must be maintained - coloured circles are used to help visualize
Masks required at all times, including while on the wall
Handwashing/sanitizing upon entry, during and after your climb
More stringent and frequent cleaning schedule for staff
Youth Programming for those under 12: will be postponed until we return to Level 1 or a change in mandate for Level 2 is implemented.
Youth Team: will be allowed to practice at reduced hours and separate from the public. FBC will be closed to the public on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:00pm to accommodate Youth Team practices.
Level 3
Full closure
Follow our social media and website for updates on re-opening
Monthly and Annual pass holders: Your pass will be frozen and will automatically resume the day we reopen.
Punch Card holders: your climbs do not expire and will not be affected.
Parties and Events: We are happy to allot any deposit made on parties or events to a new date, chosen later at your convenience.
Youth Programming: All youth programming is paused for the duration of the closure, and we will do our best to add classes onto the back end of the session to make up for lost time. Youth Team members will be provided training plans that can be followed at home.
